Warranty Policy

M2 Overland Limited and its successors and assigns(“M2 Overland”) provides the following limited warranty against defects.

This limited warranty is effective for as long as theoriginal retail purchaser owns the product, and it remains installed on the original vehicle. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that the vehicle to which the Goods are fitted to are compliant with all the relevant regulations and is roadworthy for the warranty to be valid.

Effective June 2025

1. WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS

1.1 This warranty applies to any defect in the Goodsthat becomes apparent and is reported to M2 Overland in accordance with Section 3 (“Defect”).

1.2 This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by:

  • (a) Improper maintenance or failure to follow instructions;
  • (b) Using the Goods for unintended purposes such as competitions, mining, or off-road terrain like forestry roads, trails, or riverbeds;
  • (c) Continuing to use Goods after a defect becomes apparent;
  • (d) Improper assembly, installation, ormounting;
  • (e) Overloading the vehicle beyond the Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM);
  • (f) Normal wear and tear, such as scratches, dents, paint chips, oxidation, or material degradation
  • (g) Accidents, theft, unlawful operation, or Acts of God.

1.3 This warranty becomes void if the Goods arerepaired or altered without M2 Overland’s written consent.

1.4 M2 Overland is not liable for delays in assessment,replacement, or repair of Goods under this warranty.

2. THIRD-PARTY GOODS

For Goods not manufactured by M2 Overland, the warranty is limited to the warranty provided by the original manufacturer. M2 Overland is not responsible for any terms, conditions, or claims outside thatwarranty.

This clause does not limit any rights the Client may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 inrelation to third-party goods supplied by M2 Overland.

If such third-party Goods are found to be faulty, M2 Overland reserves the right to delay reinstallation until the responsible party is determined for associated costs.

3. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MAINTENANCE

To maintain this warranty, the Client must regularly service the vehicle. In off-road or dusty conditions,more frequent maintenance is required. Minimum checks include:

  • Tightening all mounting points;
  • Lubricating moving parts, drawer slides, locks, and hinges;
  • Avoiding abrasive cleaners or compounds;
  • Ensuring all electrical plugs remain secure.

4. STRUCTURAL AND MOUNTING DEFECTS

4.1 For claims involving structural defects (e.g., tray mounts, subframes, vehicle chassis damage), M2 Overland may request evidence of vehicle load history.

4.2 Acceptable forms of evidence include:

  • Certified weigh bridge dockets;
  • Fleet telematics data;
  • Approved third-party load tracking systems.

4.3 Failure to provide validated load history may result in claim denial.

5. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

If the Client is acquiring the Goods for businesspurposes as defined by the Act, they agree that the provisions of the CGA do not apply as per clause 19.1 of the Terms and Conditions of Trade.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Hardware, drawer slides, locks, gas struts, seals, gaskets, lights, electrical components (normal wear and tear);
  • Timber (no warranty for warping, swelling, shrinkage, or splitting);
  • Goods installed by third parties not approved by M2Overland;
  • Surface finish degradation from UV, salt, or chemicals unless caused by a manufacturing defect;
  • Structural damage from unapproved modifications (e.g., roof loads, carriers, water/fuel tanks);
  • Commercial off-road use (e.g., mining, agriculture) unless approved in writing;
  • Transport costs for inspection or repair unless otherwise agreed;
  • Consumables (rubber seals, foam tapes, grease, latches, fasteners, adhesive pads);
  • Water ingress under extreme weather, pressure washing, or water crossings, unless caused by a manufacturing fault.

6. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS

6.1 To claim warranty benefits, the Client must:

  • Present the defective Goods for inspection or provide proof of the Defect;
  • Provide proof of purchase.

6.2 Claims may be submitted in person, by phone, or email with the required documentation.

6.3 Warranty claims will only be handled during business hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday).

7. WARRANTY DURATION

7.1 M2 Overland offers a 3-year limited warranty from the date the Client takes delivery of the Goods, in line with clause 9 of the Terms and Conditions of Trade.

7.2 Claims under this limited warranty must be made within 3 years from delivery. This does not affect any rights the Client may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, which may provide protections beyond this period.

8. COSTS AND LIMITATIONS

8.1 M2 Overland is responsible only for the direct costs associated with repairing the Defect.

8.2 Any additional repairs or services beyond rectifying the Defect are at the Client’s expense.

9. LEGAL RIGHTS

9.1 This warranty is in addition to the Client’s rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

9.2 Goods and Services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. The Client may be entitled to:

  • Repair or replacement if the Goods are of unacceptable quality (not major failure);
  • A full refund for major failures;
  • Resupply or repair of Services;
  • Compensation for foreseeable losses due to major failures.
10. TRANSFERABILITY

This warranty is non-transferable. It applies only to the original purchaser and the original vehicle on which the product was installed.
